Easton has reprinted, we think, the 2024 Easton Rope that we really, really loved. Same price, same two piece composite, same feel and same vibe.
Models Overview
We were huge fans of the 2024 Easton Rope, as it was one of our favorite BBCOR bats for 2024 and our favorite composite. We thought the bat was highly under valued in the market and never heard a bad word about it. Our testing showed it was top echelon for all types of hitters. The 2025 is mostly a reprint, we think. As such, as long as you can find the 2024 for a couple hundred bucks no reason to spend crazy amounts on the new one unless you're in love with the colors.
Construction & Technology
The Easton Rope BBCOR bat is a two-piece composite with a composite handle and barrel. Its barrel uses Easton's patented "3D Ropecoil Composite," where a three-dimensional composite rope is wrapped 360 degrees around the center of the barrel at the sweet spot. According to them, it enhances performance across the entire barrel though, of course, BBCOR has long met the limit.
Performance Comparison
The website isn't entirely clear, but we think this is just a reprint of the 2024 of the bat. Same 3D Ropecoil Composite and general write up of the 2024 version.
Comparable Bats
The most comparable bats appear to be Marucci's two-piece composite CAT X2 composite and Rawlings ICON. You can also find bats like the Louisville Slugger Meta and DeMarini's CF (which has a 2025 version, too) as similar types of bats approaching the same market.
Expert Recommendations
Two-piece composite bats with oversized barrels and lighter swings suit entry-level BBCOR players who are still getting the hang of connecting with pitches and hitting gaps. Typically, power hitters thrive with any bat type, favoring the stiffer feel of single-piece or hybrids. The 2025 Easton Rope is designed for players who appreciate a great feel and a huge barrel in the best Easton has to offer.
The Bottom Line
Great bat, probably over priced by $100. But, it is what it is. As long as you can find the 2024 version for a couple hundred bucks, no reason to spend crazy on the 2025 version.
