Models Overview
Is any bat more iconic than the Omaha? Although the bat hasn't changed for years it stands at the top of most performance and preference lists. Throw in a great price and huge range of sizes and you have yourself a winner. Big hitters in the NCAA love it, small hitters in USA want it too. It's all fields all player bat and we think it one of the best options for 2022. (It does NOT come in a USSSA version for 2022).
The main problem with the BBCOR version of the bat is that it is only available at slugger.com. They did not make it for wide distribution.
Construction & Technology
The 2022 Louisville Slugger Omaha is a simple bat with a simple design that is made to do what its bats do: hit balls. It is a single-piece alloy with a huge range of sizes in every league. The 33 and 34-inch BBCOR versions of the bats swing purposefully heavy. The 32 and below should be considered light. All the USA versions should be considered balanced bats.
Performance Comparison
There are no changes from the 2021 to 2022 Louisville Slugger Omaha bats. However, if you want a USA bat you'll need to look at the 2021 crop as they didn't make a new paint job (or bat) for 2022 USSSA Omaha.
Comparable Bats
Single-piece alloy bats for 2022 are plentiful. You can find similarly rated bats in the Easton ALX, DeMarini Voodoo One, DeMarini Goods One and Rawlings 5150.
Expert Recommendations
The bat serves about every hitter you can think of. Even, in the 33 and 34-inch sizes, the Omaha has a swing weight that is purposely endloaded---not a 'balanced' 33. In USA the sizes are wide and impressive.
