The CAT 5-Squared featured Marucci's AZ3000 alloy with ring-free barrel construction. The balanced design across all models made it versatile while the improved alloy increased durability.

The CAT 5 has the sting dampening in the knob. Other that it is a single piece alloy bat with a smaller barrel.

Performance Comparison

The CAT 5 was the first version of the CAT 5. They followed that up with a CAT 5-Squared which was promptly made illegal in the 33 and 34 inch versions.
