2027 DeMarini Vizion Review: Pop, Balance and Who Should Swing It

DeMarini sells the Vizion in -10, -9, and -8 at $399.95. The -10 runs from 31/21 through 34/24, the -9 from 32/23 through 34/25, and the -8 in 33/25 and 34/26. Start with -10 for the broadest fit, move to -9 for more mass, and reserve -8 for hitters who can keep a heavier barrel on time.

The Vizion is a one-piece composite with a 2 1/4-inch barrel. DeMarini calls the end-to-end structure Vertebrae Construction. Its Dark Matter Composite Gapped Wall Barrel separates an inner wall from the outer barrel with what DeMarini describes as its largest and longest air gap. The company also lists a softer Damplify knob, removable handle taper, 2 mm grip and Anomaly end cap.

Because there is no two-piece connection, centered contact feels connected and mishits are easy to identify. DeMarini lists the line as balanced, but two independent tests felt more weight in the barrel. Demo the exact length and drop rather than assuming it will swing as easily as an LXT or another light-feeling two-piece.

Vizion is a new model, so there is no prior version or year-over-year durability record. Unlike the two-piece CF, Prism+, Lotus, and Whisper, it is built for a stiffer, more connected response.

What the available hitting evidence says: in a public HitTrax session from The Softball Chic, the Vizion reached 79.5 mph while the Ghost Unlimited reached 79.4 mph in the same session. The hitter said her normal range is 78 to 82 mph, so this does not prove the Vizion is hotter; it does show competitive centered-contact output in that one test. She also reported that the bat felt better and produced more consistent high-70s readings after several swings.

A second public review from MegRem Softball reached the opposite feel conclusion: three younger hitters reportedly rated it 9/10, while the host rated it 6.5/10 because mishits were obvious and the sweet spot felt demanding. The two tests agree on the important point: centered contact performs, but whether the bat feels forgiving depends on the hitter.

Easton Ghost Unlimited: the closest one-piece comparison. Vizion costs less and sounds louder, while early public testing suggests Ghost Unlimited can be more forgiving. Marucci Echo DMND2: a less expensive one-piece bat with a lighter, smoother reputation. Louisville Slugger LXT: the better comparison for a hitter who wants a two-piece bat with more damping and an easier swing.
