The 2027 Louisville Slugger Select PWR is NCAA approved and expected in late August 2026. Its job is unchanged: give strong BBCOR hitters a stiff hybrid with real barrel mass. This is a power bat, not an easy-swinging all-purpose option.
Models Overview
The current model codes are BBSPB3-27, with listed lengths of 31, 32, 32.5, 33, 33.5, 34. That size run suggests Louisville Slugger expects Select PWR to remain a full BBCOR line like previous models. Price-wise, we will see, but we would expect it to land near the previous version's $400 - $449.95 range unless Louisville Slugger changes the line strategy.
The 2027 Custom Select PWR BBCOR (CBBSPB3-27V) is a custom edition in the same Select PWR family. Its NCAA approval lists a Metal barrel and the same six lengths as BBSPB3-27; that record does not establish a performance upgrade.
Construction & Technology
The listed barrel material is metal. Select PWR history points toward hybrid alloy barrel/separate handle. The next thing to check is whether Louisville Slugger changes the alloy, end cap, handle setup, or production feel from the previous version.
Performance Comparison
Compared with the 2026 Select PWR, the likely 2027 question is refinement. Louisville probably does not need to change the mission; it needs to manage swing weight, connection feel, and durability while keeping the power identity intact.
Comparable Bats
Useful context comes from 2026 Louisville Slugger Select PWR, 2026 DeMarini The Goods, and 2026 Louisville Slugger Atlas Hybrid. Those pages frame the likely role until we can measure, swing, and compare the 2027 version directly.

The Bottom Line
The 2027 Select PWR belongs with strong hitters who want a heavy power hybrid. Everyone else should wait for confirmed swing weight or choose a more balanced bat.
