We think those in the drop ten space will prefer a two-piece composite, which this bat is not. But, if you want a hybrid bat that swings a bit heavier than most two-piece composites, this is as good a bet as any.

Although a bit on the heavier side for a drop 11, it swings right in line with other drop 10 bats in the USA space. So, if you consider this drop 11 as a drop 10, it is, as far as we measured, one of the very best bats in the industry. The Easton ADV 360 Drop 11 USA bat is a huge barrel, balanced swing, and knockout performance. It reminds us a lot of the Orange Easton MAKO as any USA bat to date ever has.

The Solo in USA drop 10 for 2022 is a legit bat with a good-sized barrel that has been a fan favorite since USA's inception in 2018. The bat is light, has a less unreasonable price point, and comes in a huge swath of sizes to fit just about player. Performance-wise it does really well and clearly meets the USA standard. We don't think anyone will be writing home to grandma about the SOLO in USA for 2022 (it hasn't changed from 2021), but we do think you'll get a quality bat for reasonable price that will last and work well.

Description
The 2022 Louisville Slugger Prime in USA is a drop 10 with a good barrel profile and middle-of-the-road swing weight. Overshadowed by more popular bats like the ADV, the Slugger Prime is an under-the-radar pick that gets great feedback, hits the ball hard and has a really good feel on both hits and mishits. Made for the kid who plays a lot of baseballs we think it is an underrated pick in the 2022 USA space. (And we also think its graphics are the best of the year).

Description
DeMarini's 2021 CF Drop 10 in USA is a light swinging two-piece composite bat built with the USSSA versions in mind. It swings light and doesn't appear to have the same durability issues as the USSSA versions. The flex feel is the exact same in this USA version as it is in its other lines. However, the barrel is much shorter and the more restrictive standard is immediately noticable. The USA CF is a fine bat, but it is far from a must swing like the USSSA versions. There are no changes between the 2021 and 2020 USA CF bats.

The Omaha in USA for 2022 is an entry-level performance bat made for the hitter who wants a bigger barrel on a single-piece alloy. Although this bat might not feel as good as more expensive bats when poor contact is made, the bat can hit the ball just as far as anything else in the USA standard. The swing weight is balanced and the sizes from 27 through 32-inch should fit most players. The USA Omaha isn't anything to get too excited about, but it will hit the ball hard when squared up and, at a reasonable price, it's a value buy through and through.

The drop 10 USA The Goods One from Demarin isn't anything to get too excited about. However, it will fit a large number of hitters and meet the maximum standard on well hit balls. The barrel profile isn't big, and the stiffness can hurt the hands on mishit balls. But, the price is more reasonable and the serious rec player could find a lot of success with this light swinging single piece alloy from DeMarini's 2022 lineup.

The barrel size is decent for a USA Bat and the swing weight is a decent fit for most hitters. As well, those looking for a hybrid bat in the USA space to compete with a bat-like Slugger's Select have a worthy choice in the 2022 DeMarini The Goods USA Drop 10.

It is a 2 5/8 barrel. It also has a newly designed end cap, the same as the end cap in the USSSA drop 5 barrel. This is a basic bat that, we think, might replace the highly rated 6 Series (SOLO) bat from Slugger in years past. (Although that was a drop11, this is a drop 12).

The 2020 Axe Elite One USA is a drop 10 single piece alloy bat with a good-sized barrel and a light swing. The smaller sizes (26 and 27) are 2.5-inch barrels---not the standard 2 5/8 barrel. However, those 25 and 26-inch versions of the 2020 Elite One USA are our favorites within the group. They are almost perfect for the coach pitch market. Very young kids, just new into the baseball world, will like the ax handle, good sound, and very light swing of those shorter sizes. The 27 through 30 inches are fine, but we like the drop 8 versions of the bat better in those sizes (if one can swing it).

The 2020 Axe Elite One is a single-piece drop 8 alloy bat built with a stiff feel and an ax shaped handle. It is for stronger hitting kids who like a less flexible bat, a slight end-load, and an ax-shaped handle. As well, players who like this bat don't care as much about hand sting and massive barrel proviles. We like this version of the bat better than the drop 10 as we feel like the added mass makes contact feel better on mishits and gives it some added mass behind the ball.

2018 was the first year of USA bats and this is DeMarini's first run on the single-piece Voodoo One. It's a very small barrel profile on a single piece alloy bat. This bat didn't get fantastic ratings as few players liked the small sweet spot and wring on the mishits. However, those looking for an entry-level USA bat at a great price with a good company might find a lot of success with the 2018 DeMarini Voodoo One USA Drop 10 bat.

The 2020 DeMarini Voood One in USA is a drop 10, 2 5/8 diameter barreled bat with a balanced swing and decent sized barrel. It didn't change much from the 2019 version other than a new end cap. But, we don't think the X14 alloy was adjusted enough from last year to make it perform better in terms of performance. It works well for the smaller player looking for lots of bat speed but doesn't see the pitch speed that will really ring the hands. It's a great value buy if you can find it for the right price.

The 5150 in a drop 5 for 2021 has a decent sized barrel and a good balance for the drop 5 class. We like this USA version of the bat better than any other. Kids who can get a drop 5 around and like the stiff feel of a single piece aluminum bat will do really well. As well, at under $100, we think the drop 5 5150 for 2021 is a great practice and cold-weather bat. It can also serve as an ultra-durable cage work bat that will last a life time and give good strength training opportunities for younger hitters.

It's crafted from aerospace-grade RED alloy, with power and durability (reading: it swings heavy and is made from alloy. It also uses variable wall barrel tech to help increase the barrel size, but it still isn't big. It offers an expansive sweet spot and an end loaded feel.

We consider this an entry-level bat that will leave a lot to be desired from the elite and serious youth player. However, those looking for a decent to good entry-level rec type bat should be happy with this one.
